September 9th 1998
Champion's Night. Last year's winners of both slide and print competitions, provide the entertainment. Bring a friend!

September 16th
The Millennium Selection. Come to view the hundreds of shots LPS members have taken for our Millennium Project and help to select the 100 best for the exhibition.

September 23rd
Wide Screen Spectacular. David Hastings returns with the 14-foot screen to present his audio-visual, 'Return Of The Liberator'.

September 30th
John Harrold LPS & Andre Reeve LPS. John presents The Seychelles and its Natural History, while Andre will show his first selection of work to the Society.

October 7th
Digital Imaging & Manipulation. Anna Meek ARPS APAGB, gives an introduction to processing without chemicals or a darkroom. Be at the cutting edge. Be here tonight! [Entries close for the 1st Competition].

October 14th
Open Evening. A chance for members and the public to see our millennium images presented as a slide show. Why not come along and enjoy what should be a special evening.

October 21st
First Competition - Assignment 'Street Life'.

October 28th
Ivan West - The Norfolk Broads. Leading nature photographer, Ivan West, returns with his fascinating illustrated talk on our famous waterways.

November 4th
Gallery. A chance for LPS members to show their work. Book a slot with the Chairman and illustrate any subject with slides or prints (maximum time 15 minutes).

November 11th
The Lake District: A Fell Walker's View. Derek & Judy Leak LPS, present their audio-visual show, which sets the beauty of the English Lakes & Mountains to English music. Twin projectors, Stereo sound.

November 18th
Madge's Swansong & Norman's Prime. Madge Davis LPS shows a Splendid Slide Spectacular, followed by Norman Laughland LPS, who presents Plenty of Perfect Prints.

November 25th
The Light or The Luck? A recorded lecture by Irene P. Froy FRPS APAGB. The slides cover a variety of subject matter, with the emphasis on landscpae. The talk looks at how much luck is involved in producing a winning slide, or whether it is preparation and observation which counts. [Entries close for the 2nd Competition].

December 2nd
An Evening With Paul Damen ABIPP ARPS. A mixed bag of recent work from Paston's Prince Of Photograhers. Quality images and helpful advice.

December 9th
Second Competition - Assignment 'Clouds'.

December 16th
Christmas Party. Possibly the finest Yuletide Celebration in Suffolk.

January 6th 1999
Knock-Out Competition. Everyone can join in tonight. Bring your slides (up to a maximum of 10) and help to judge the winner.

January 13th
On Safari In Kenya. Brian Sivyer visits the Society for the first time to give an illustrated talk on the wildlife of East Africa.

January 20th
A Print Evening With Caister Camera Club. Friends from across the Norfolk border come south to display and talk about their latest prints.

January 27th
Three-Way Competition - LPS v LCC v GYPS. This year we host the BIG ONE. Turn up in droves and cheer us to victory. [Entries close for the 3rd competition].

February 3rd
Early Yarmouth Photographers. Yarmouth historian, Colin Tooke, presents his fascinating slide lecture. Pictures by early practicioners bring insight to a lost age.

February 10th
Third Competition - Assignment 'Book or Song Title'.

February 17th
Malaysian Miscellany. Our President, David Standley LPS, at last reveals the mysteries of the East.

February 24th
PAGB Slide Exhibition 1997. Don't miss it! Your opportunity to view and discuss the best images nationwide in 1997.

March 3rd
Practical Evening. Just one chance this season! Learn with friends; just bring along a camera and film, queries and ideas.

March 10th
Joy Hancock DPAGB ARPS. A coup for the LPS. Joy is Secretary of the Mundesley Photographic Group, who last year seemed to win everything! Tonight, she brings us up-to-date with her work using Digital Imaging. [Entries close for the 4th competition].

March 17th
A Triple Whammy. John Mummery LPS, 'Beams, Chains, Waves and Webs', Philip Vallis LPS, 'An Artist's Life' and David Smith LPS, 'Bits and Bobs'.

March 24th
Fourth Competition - Assignment 'Weather'.

March 31st
Antarctica. Movies, prints and slides by Alan Burt, who describes his time working 'In The Freezer'.

April 7th
Nature Portfolio. A portfolio of 160 Natural History slides by the North & East Midlands Federation, presented as a recorded lecture. [Entries close for the 'Print Of The Year' competition].

April 14th
Audio-Visual Competition for the Louis Casolani Trophy. Produce your own AV (maximum running time 10 minutes) using any combination of projected images and sound. Members present will judge the winner. [Entries close for the 'Slide Of The Year' competition].

April 21st
Denis Pidgeon LPS & Bryan Harris LPS. The final 'Home Grown' evening of the season.

April 28th
Print Of The Year Competition. Who will carry off the coverted trophy this year. Six cups to be won. This competition is judged externally.

May 5th
Slide Of The Year Competition. Beside the prestigious Slide Of The Year plaque, there are cups to be won for Best Portrait, Best Record and Best Pictorial/General slides. This competition is judged externally.

May 12th
Annual General Meeting. Have your say about how the Society is run and help choose next year's Assignment titles.
