1. The group shall be called 'The Lowestoft Photographic and Digital Imaging Club' and membership will be open to all interested in photography
2. Membership of the Club implies an undertaking to accept and comply with these rules
3. Membership
There shall be FOUR categories of membership:
INDIVIDUAL,
JOINT/FAMILY, STUDENT, HONORARY
Honorary membership may be recommended, with the approval of members at the Annual General Meeting, to a person deemed to have made an outstanding contribution to the Club
4. Subsciptions
(a) The annual
subscription for the following year shall be determined at the AGM and becomes
payable on the first meeting of the new season
(b) Prospective members will be asked to pay after attending
three meetings
(c) Payment by instalments
will be acceptable where appropriate
(d) Members joining in the second half of the season will be
charged pro-rata
(e) Where special interest groups are formed within the club they shall be
self-financing

Committee
The affairs of the Club shall be managed by
an Executive Committee which includes all officers elected at the AGM
ex-officio. These are:
Chairman
Vice-Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Competition Secretary(s)
Exhibition Secretary
Programme Secretary
Equipment Officer
Press
Officer
In addition there will be TWO Committee members elected at the AGM. The President of the club shall be a non-executive member of the committee. The committee shall have full powers of co-optation
6. All officers and committee members are eligible for re-election each year, with the exception of the Chairman, who will be replaced by the Vice Chairman at each A.G.M
7. Special General Meetings
SGM's may be convened on a requisition signed by at least SEVEN members,
stating the object and sent to the Secretary, who shall promptly notify the
membership, giving at least fourteen days notice of the meeting
8. At committee meetings, a Chairman and SIX members shall form a quorum and, at any SGM or AGM, a Chairman and one third of the membership shall form a quorum
9. The Secretary will keep the minutes of all Committee, SG and AG meetings and conduct the correspondence of the Club
10. The Treasurer will collect all subscriptions and monies due after authorisation by the committee, keep the accounts of the Club and conduct all financial affairs
11. Club Committee reserves the right to refuse membership and to censure any member who brings the club into disrepute. No member may use the club name to solicit commercial work
12. Annual General Meeting
(a) The Annual General Meeting shall be held each year before
August 31st to transact the following business:
To receive the Chairman's report for the year
To receive the Treasurer's report and
an audited Statement Of Accounts for the year
To receive the Secretary's report for
the year
To receive any other reports from
officers
To elect officers and committee for
the following year
To appoint the auditor(s)
To fix subscription rates for the
following year
To deal with any specified matters
which the committee may wish to bring before the members
(b)
Any
member who wishes to raise a matter at the AGM must seek a seconder and notify
the Secretary in writing at least fourteen days before the date of the AGM
(c) Members unavoidably absent from a General Meeting may register their votes on any item in writing to the Secretary
(d) At a General Meeting no Proxy votes are allowable
13. No alteration or addition to these rules shall be made except at the AGM or a Special General Meeting called in accordance with Rule 7
